HCG injection (Lyophilized) is a medication that may assist with fertility treatments. It contains human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), a hormone produced during pregnancy. Luteinizing hormone (LH), also produced by the body, supports egg development and stimulates ovulation before pregnancy. HCG has similar actions to LH, and when used for infertility, it mimics the LH surge to help stimulate ovulation. In women, HCG injections may be used to trigger ovulation and assist with infertility. In men, HCG may help increase sperm count in the treatment of certain types of hypogonadism.
Store dry powder at 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C) and away from heat, moisture and light. Once reconstituted keep this medicine in a refrigerator between 36°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C). Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Throw away any unused medicine after the beyond use date. Do not flush unused medications or pour down a sink or drain.
